Dean Frey, Director of the Red Deer Public Library and his staff, are using web 2.0 to provide a venue for information on the upcoming municipal elections through www.electionforum.ca. Blogs, podcasts and forums are incorporated into the site to provide information and communication on the elections planned for October 15, 2007. Dean Frey and the folks at RDPL have always been innovative in their use of technology in the library for as long as I can remember. Their other initiative is the Digital Red Deer  site, featuring artists from the community and events from the library. It’s good to see this happening in our area.
