A new employee recruiting tool

Do you purchase your office supplies at Staples? Have you ever thought of working for Staples? Staples is engaging potential employees with their “Staplesville” site. (at the time of this post it is not live – but it will be soon). Word has it that this site will take employees on a virtual tour of the benefits of working for this office supply giant. It has the look and feel of a video game – artwork, avatars, sound effects, etc. Since a lot of their staff are younger – teen to mid thirty – this makes a lot of sense. These folks are out on the web and this virtual recruiting tool speaks their language.
Staples might have the clout (and the vision) to build their own ‘virtual job shop’ but what about the smaller company? How about a kiosk on Second Life?
